Shortly after being scouted, Lea Thaysen stepped in front of the camera for her very first editorial. Here, she shares what it was like to experience her first photoshoot and step outside her comfort zone.
I was a little nervous at first because I didn’t really know what to expect. I thought we were just going to take some photos indoors in one outfit, but it turned out to be completely different.

We tried lots of different outfits and took photos in several different locations, including out on the streets of Aarhus. My hair was also styled in different ways, giving us a variety of looks throughout the day.
It was really fun to try something new and step outside my comfort zone.
It was actually much easier than I expected. I was guided through everything, from how to stand and move to what to do in each shot, so it was easy to follow along.
I had to walk fast, walk slowly, spin around, dance and make lots of different facial expressions. The hardest part was probably trying not to smile when I was supposed to look serious.
It was really exciting. I’m so used to taking pictures with my phone, so seeing professional photos of myself was a completely different experience.
I was really happy with how they turned out.

Yes! It was such a great experience, and I’m looking forward to having more photos taken.
